SHREWSBURY, Mass. – The Shrewsbury Girls Ice Hockey team won both of their games this weekend, beating Algonquin 4-2 on Saturday and Auburn 8-1 on Sunday.

The girls faced off against Algonquin Regional High School at the third annual High School Hockey Showdown held at the Worcester DCU Center of Saturday.

All of the Shrewsbury goals were scored in the second period, by Alanna Maniatis, Julia Mastrototoro, Olivia McGourty and Samantha Direda.

The lady Colonials skated to success again on Sunday in their game against Auburn High School, winning 8-1, bringing the team's overall record for the season to 6-2-2.
