SHREWSBURY, Mass. – A Shrewsbury man was held on $25,000 cash bail for the charges of assault and attempted murder after allegedly attacking another man with a knife inside the victim's Shrewsbury home.

Luke A. Lucier, 19 of 12 Sadler Ave, was arrested on Jan. 25 in Shrewsbury. According to the police report written by Sgt. Michael Cappucci of the Shrewsbury Police Department, Lucier went to the victim's home and assaulted him with a butterfly knife.

"Once at the residence, Lucier confronted and then stabbed [the victim] in the chest causing serious injury," Cappucci wrote.

Lucier was arraigned on the charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and attempted murder in Westborough District Court on Thursday.

If the $25,000 bail is posted, the judge ordered Lucier to wear a GPS monitoring system.

Lucier is due back in court on Feb. 22.
