Shrewsbury Saheli has invited the ADVISE organisation - Against Domestic Violence in Shrewsbury Education Project for a information session to talk about their work over three decades in the Shrewsbury Area and a general introduction about domestic violence and available resources for the community. ADVISE in Shrewsbury works to break the cycle of domestic violence, through education, intervention and support. Saheli has been working to educate and create awareness about domestic violence, and to empower women in the South Asian community for the last 16 years. Now, the two organizations are coming together to inform the community about the services they provide. Speakers will be Janet Trippi of ADVISE and Rita Shah, Saheli Domestic Violence Advocate. We hope you will join us. Domestic violence is a taboo subject in society, but unless we make an effort to educate ourselves and create awareness, this will continue. You do not need to be a victim, you do not need to know someone personally who is suffering, to attend this FREE session.
Location: Large Meeting Room
